Match NotesFor match shoots held on the trap range remember that no open public shooting will be available until after the match concludes. We will attempt to open to the public as we can and when the match director gives the OK. The Skeet Fields and 5 Stand operate under the same rules as trap during matches. The Rifle and Pistol Range will be closed to the Public for open shooting during all Cowboy Action / Plunge Creek Cowboy events. It will re open to the public when the event concludes and at the match directors discretion The Rifle and Pistol Range will be open to limited public use during the Bench rest and Silhouette Society matches unless otherwise stated on the calendar. Call Ahead for range public hours if you are in doubt! Absolutely no firearms may be discharged prior to 8 AM on Saturday and 9:30 AM Sundays. No Range use is permitted without the Range master or match Director present . Violations of these rules will cause your removal from the grounds and/or ejection from membership.
Cowboy Shooters please note we use SASS rules for our matches. Our matches will be held with 'raw' score, not points. (subject to change if cause exists) New shooters are encouraged to attend Cajon Cowboys New Shooter class at the GEM Ranch in Devore. www.cajoncowboys.com We should have a new shooters bay and class available at our March 07 Match as well. But our good friends at Cajon are experts in the field and always a fun and good way to get started! Another note to cowboys. We don't want to be the killjoy here, but at our range we will expect you to go by the rules. The safety rules that is! That means we don't care how many matches you done won, or who you think you is. Show your guns at the loading and unloading tables or shoot somewhere else. We tend to be irritable bout that. And we ain't gonna say Sorry.
As for the rest of you! Suttlers are encouraged to attend. Contact Horace Falcon for fee's (guaranteed reasonable) Eye and ear protection is mandatory while on the range. Be safe and have fun. Overnight RV camping and tent camping might be available with prior approval. Be prepared to stay the night once the gate closes however. (no upsetting in-and-out beer runs, etc.) Gate closes, get quiet and relax. 'nuf said' |
